Mantel Styles

In order to assist with your fireplace mantel search we have divided our mantelpiece collection into a number of categories.
Mantel style variations are one way of narrowing your fireplace mantel search. Please note that in an attempt to keep the number of categories to a minimum we have included many possible variations of each style under each style search category.
The following is a brief description of what you will find in each Style category.
For ease of use and brevity, mantels in each category may be period reproductions or period inspired contemporary designs.

French Mantel

The French mantelpiece category includes mantelpieces which may be described as falling into the following general architectural period styles; French Transitional, French Country/Provincial, French Gothic/Norman, French Baroque/Rococo, French Renaissance, French Classical, and French Louis XIV styles.

English Style

The English mantelpiece category includes mantelpieces which may be described as falling into the following general architectural period styles; English Georgian/Regency, English Baroque, and English Tudor/Jacobean/Gothic style.

Italianate Style

The Italianate mantelpiece category includes mantelpieces which may be described as falling into the following general architectural period styles; Italian Transitional/Renaissance, Italian Traditional/Tuscan styles.

Contemporary Style

The Contemporary mantelpiece category includes mantelpieces which may be described as falling into the following general architectural period styles; Simple Classical profiling, Transitional, and Contemporary styles.
